End of the May half term
I hope you are safe and well as we approach the end of the summer term 2021 and prepare for the well-earned summer holidays.
We be closing for the summer holidays on Friday 16th July at 12.00, which will allow urgently needed work to be undertaken in the building on Monday.
As Friday 16th will be the last day of term, we will be arranging a celebration breakfast for all students and staff. We will also be having a ‘dress-down’ day, which means that uniform is not required. I do ask that students are respectful and wear sensible/appropriate clothing, otherwise they will be required to go home to change.
School will re-open on Monday 06th September 2021 for students.
We have been working hard to keep our school as safe as possible. We have continued to deliver COVID-19 tests known as ‘lateral flow tests’ twice a week for staff and students. It is with pride that I see our students prepared to ‘do their bit’ by taking part in the testing and helping to break the chain of transmission for the virus. We intend to continue this testing next year from September.
Results day this year will be Thursday 12th August 2021 and I want draw your attention to the appeals policy process which can be found on our website. All students expecting GCSE results will be contacted in the next few weeks about how they will receive their results.
Finally, I would like to thank all our parents/carers and students for helping to make this school year such a success by attending school, completing work & wearing correct uniform (black trousers & black top & and a face covering). It has been a real pleasure to work with you and share how your child’s is doing at HAPs. I have been amazed by the number of certificates and rewards that have been taken home.
As with all our work, should you need any advice, guidance or support, please don’t hesitate to contact us and we will do all we can to help out.
Best wishes, stay safe & enjoy your summer break,
Mr Michael Hill
