Staggered start in January 2022

Dear parent/carer,

As you may be aware the Department for Education made an announcement asking us to implement a staggered return for students in January and we are now writing to you to let you know about changes to the start of term.

We will be welcoming back the following students on Wednesday 5th January 2022:

  • All Year 11 students
  • Some other students identified by the government (if your child has been identified you will receive a separate text invitation to access this provision on the 4th of January)
  • Critical worker students (complete the survey only if you are a critical worker and are not able to keep your child at home)

The Department for Education has also announced that they are making mass testing available for all Secondary Schools. All other students will be contacted about when to attend for their COVID tests and orientation to our new school building.

We are still waiting for further information about this which is due to be released later this week.

We will continue to digest all of this information and will be in touch after the Christmas period with more details about our plans.  We will share details via text message, the school website and our twitter site.

Letters will be sent with the details, but if you have any questions, issues or enquiries please call 07432 506703 to speak to me directly.  This number is available at all times and has a voicemail.

I want to say a huge thank you for your ongoing support, stay safe and hope you have an enjoyable festive period.

Best wishes

Mr Michael Hill
