Easter Holiday 2026<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

HAPS closes for the Easter Holidays on Wednesday 1st April 2026 at 1300hrs.<\/strong>  We re-open on Monday 20th April 2026 at 0845hrs<\/strong>.  We would like to wish you all a happy and safe Easter from everyone at HAPS, and thank you for all your efforts and support over the last term.  A reminder that school uniform at HAPS is black, blue, grey or white tops and black, blue or grey bottoms. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Post 16 Success – One of our students attending the 3rd round of selection for an electricians apprenticeship with Barlows. This follows preparing and making the application, successful progress in the aptitude\/practical round & then being called for interview. 200 successful applicants were selected for round 2, only 20 of those were successful in getting the invitation for interview!! So proud of this achievement – fingers crossed for the results in May.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

eScooters & eBikes – September 2025<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

eScooters are not legal on UK roads<\/strong>. Students will not be allowed to arrive on an eScooter to HAPS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some eBikes are not legal<\/strong>. Click here to find out what makes an eBike legal.<\/a> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If it is a legal eBike you can use it for getting to HAPS and we will store it for you and charge it up so you can get home again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

HAPS is a no smoking, no vaping school. All smoking and vaping paraphernalia will need to be handed in as part of the condition of entry search. All such items handed in will only be returned to a parent\/guardian.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Non – compliance will be subject to the school behaviour policy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Support giving up – HAPS will support all students and families that wish to stop smoking or vaping with a referral to Eclypse or similar smoking cessation.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Year 10 Work Experience Week – April 2026<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Work Experience Monday 20th to Friday 24th April 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are excited that this year we can again offer the opportunity for Year 10 to take part in work experience. Following the huge success of work experience in 2024 & 2025 we are looking to support our students once again taking responsibility for their futures now. It is incredibly important for students to enjoy experiencing the world of work first hand. Furthermore, with the current economic environment, employers place a high value on relevant work experience and an opportunity to demonstrate good employability skills. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
